broke.. bummer.. ber month..

menstruation comes once a month. am not affected! but it would be a miracle if i'll experience that! haha.. actually my concern is the bills that i have to pay every month, soon i can kill the postman! when i was still working as csr at ibm, i gave in to my caprices and as always a very impulsive buyer. the not so pretty result, a staggering debt on my 2 credit cards! waahhh..

i still don't have a job and i cannot actually complain because am really not looking for any! i've been telling my friends that i could be an f.a. sa pal (food afficonado sa palamuning kwarto not a flight attendant sa phil. airlines) haha. official bum. i need to get my ass off of this computer chair and start to hunt for a well-paying job.. wish me luck!

tomorrow, the --ber month will take off. and that only means one thing - the gifts that i will give whole-heartedly to my godchildren, my family, friends and also for myself. this idea is like a driving-force for me to get a job asap. or maybe i could just try my luck on the lottery! haha..

it's the time for the last grand slam event this year.. the us open has now started..

i have been following tennis tournaments on tv and also online since i was in high school. it was one of the lasting "contributions" that my friend joeben influenced me with. there's something about the game, i don't know what it is but i became an afficionado. it's not as masculine-looking as basketball nor as boring as golf. it's just right in the middle. the game provides excitement, rivalries, fashion-forward players and hot guys whacking their balls, tennis ball, i mean. hehe..

the us open is the last grand slam of the year. preceded by wimbledon, roland garros and australian open. because its a major tournament in this sport, naturally it will be broadcasted by sports channel. i was waiting till 4am for the tv rights of the tournament being played on whatever sports channel. espn, star sports, solar sports and even basketball tv. none of them are airing the tournament of my fave spoort! this can't be!!! waaahh.. i long to witness the williams sisters' groundstrokes, the dress of sharapova, the backhand of henin, the biceps of nadal, the neurotic whims of safin, the elegance of federer, roddick touching himself, the young protegee(s) from serbia.. can you tell that this is important to me?! waaahhh.. i hope that star sports will air this just as they did for wimbledon and australian open. or solar sports like in roland garros. i will not complain! give me the us open on whatever channel!!!

blast from the past

yesterday, i was in the bathroom minding my own business. i was letting all my frustrations and bitterness out to dorothy, the ever dependable.. smoking a marlboro menthol and humming to the song of kavana's will you wait for me. and i heard this loud thunder. i said "shocks, uulan ata.. gusto ko maligo.." after i flushed everything.. tnx dorothy.. haha.. i was cleaning myself up when somebody knocked at the door.. "pinsan! ligo tau sa ulan..!".. eh di aun go naman kmi.. i never hesitated kahit na all white ang suot q.. 80's wet look ang effect! haha.. ang sarap ng feeling. there we are, my 2 cousins, a friend and my sister.. we're all having fun in the rain, it's like we're kids again. kids who smoke cigarettes because it's so cold! hehe.. and to make the moment livelier, naligo din ang 2 kong makulit na pamangkin.. takbo ng takbo.. maya maya tumigil na ang buhos ng ulan. at umuwi na kami pra magbanlaw at sigaw ng "next time ulit! kapag malakas ha!!".

Christopher Robert Evans was born last June 13, 1981. He is perhaps best known for his roles in the films Fantastic Four, Cellular andNot Another Teen Movie.

He was born in Sudbury, Massachusetts to a dentist father and a dancer mother. He has three siblings, Shanna, Scott and Carly. Evans is of Italian and Irish descent and is a Catholic. He graduated from Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School in 1999. If he wasn't an actor, he had planned to attend NYU after graduating high school.


Career
After completing his junior year in H.S. he traveled to New York where he interned at a casting agency and took a summer acting program. That same summer he met an agent that helped him get his start in acting after completing high school. Evans had small parts on television series such as Boston Public and The Fugitive and a role in the TV series Oppsoite Sex before landing his first notable role as Jake Wyler in Not Another Teen Movie.


After filming wrapped on Not Another Teen Movie, Evans landed several more lead roles in The Perfect Score and Cellular. He also starred in a few independent films where audiences got to see a different side to Evans. In London, Evans played a strung out coke head. He was then chosen to play Human Torch in the 2005 comic book adaptation Fantastic Four.

Evans has worked opposite some of the biggest names in Hollywood, including Kim Basinger, Diane Lane, William H. Macy and Donald Sutherland. He was named 'Male Superstar of Tomorrow' at the 2005 Young Hollywood Awards. Evans has been featured in many well known magazine publications.

Recently Evans reprised the role of Johnny Storm/The Human Torch in the sequel Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. Next up for Evans is the role of Diskant in The Night Watchman, co-starring Keanu Reeves, and Jimmy in The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond. The latter is based on a play created by Tennessee Williams. Both movies were announced to be out in 2008.

A SAD REALITY

blogging has done good things to me.. in a way it's a therapy because i get to express the thoughts and emotions that i am feeling. it's also a way to find new acquaintances, read their entries and most of the time relate with the blogger. those are some of the pros, i didn't realize that this blog thing would be an avenue for haters..

sad but true.. i was bombarded by anonyma (the name used by the hater) in my chatbox with such an ill-feeling towards me and how i do my blogs.. at first, i laughed it off because that's how i deal with such negativity in my life. but then it strucked me that this person exerted so much effort to get me pissed.. the person posted the same message for over 110 times..

my mama jacq ( http://atejackie.blogspot.com ) said that i could delete those messages and find some information about that person thru my chatbox account. and i did what she told me to do.. and it hit me that the hater was from IBM DAKSH, the company which i have worked with for a year.

it got me thinking that how come the people i know from there could do so such thing to me.. and they even tried to do it anonymously. i was angry but at the same time i was also sad. the people there are my friends. but i guess that's the harsh reality. there will be people whom you can't please no matter what you do and for sure there will be people whom you consider as your friends will be the one to stab you at your back.

poem from the past

i was looking for the old bracelet that i have which i haven't worn for years because i thought that it's uso ulit.. i thought i kept it inside my drawer so i decided to turn my drawer upside down figuratively of course or else my mom will kick me.. haha.. but there's no luck.

i didn't find it but i came across with a collection of poems i wrote before.. way back.. poems i wrote when i was still in high school for my first true love.. cheese. but really it was nice to relieve the emotions i felt for him. and it varies. from being happy because he merely smiled at me to being sad because he didn't come to school. you see these things are huge deal for me before.. immature and sensitive. our story is one that i will never forget.. i felt that i was special because he made it a point for me to feel that i really am. but i guess he never had the courage to face his feelings. coward. afraid of risks. confused. but i settled for that. silly of me.. here's one of the last few poems i wrote convincing myself that it's time for me to move on..

Steven Strait

Steven Strait was born on March 23rd, 1986 in New York City, New York. He grew up in Manhattan's Greenwich Village, where he was exposed to the cultural arts at a young age...particularly in theater and music. He was educated at Public School Number Three before attending a Catholic high school, and though he would grow up a little faster than many thanks to his urban surroundings, the highly active youngster still found time to cut loose with a bit of basketball and boxing. His first job was replacing the weights others used at a loyal gym. It was during a workout session at the gym that Strait was scouted by Boss Models agent John Babin, and though the classically handsome teen had retained a manager since making his stage debut in a Village Community School musical, it was finally time to move on to bigger and better things. Subsequently sent by Babin to A&F Casting directly after signing with Boss.

Some of the magazines he has appeared in include L’Uomo Vogue, Spoon Magazine, Details, Surface Magazine and Pop Magazine. He is also highly sought after by top fashion photographers such as Dah Len, Peter Murdoch Ellen von Unwerth, and Bruce Weber. He has also modeled for Harleguin and Hollister advertisement campaigns.

Steven began taking acting lessons at the age of eleven, and at the age of thirteen he started to study theater and stage craft at the prestigious Stella Adler Conservatory in New York. For the next five years he continued to study both at Stella Adler and with various other teachers and schools, including Black Nexxus. Steven worked with some of the best photographers in the business before making his small screen debut in an episode of the popular television drama Third Watch.

In 2004, after graduating from Xavier High School in NYC he moved out to California to pursue a career in show biz. It was not long for him to receive his first role in 'Sky High'...after his very first audition! Strait would subsequently appear in the entertainment industry comedy drama 'Undiscovered' before testing his skills with a substantial role as one of four teens bestowed with supernatural abilities in director Renny Harlin's 'The Covenant' in 2006.

Besides his film career, Steven has a passion for music. He is the lead singer in a band called Tribe. They were recently signed to Lakeshore Records, and are slated to release their first full-length album in early 2006. In fact, Steven writes most of the lyrics to the hard rock group's music. Next, moviegoers will catch Strait opposite Camilla Belle in Roland Emmerich's upcoming drama-adventure '10,000 B.C.', a prehistoric epic that follows a young mammoth hunter's journey through uncharted territory to secure the future of his tribe. He is also in negotiations to appear in Andrew Douglas' new horror-adventure, 'Priest', alongside Gerard Butler (also in talks).

Although he is busy in films, Steven continues modeling and recently has been signed for campaigns with Harlequin and Hollister Co. Steven enjoys basketball, boxing, karate, and reading. His favorite authors are Roald Dahl, Emerson, Thoreau and other modernist writers.
